Things We Need

There are many items that Adsum regularly needs to run our shelters, support our housing sites, and provide relief for the women, families, and gender-diverse people we serve. You can support Adsum’s work by donating items from our list or hosting a donation drive with friends, colleagues, or your community.

Adsum accepts new, unopened, and unexpired items. We do not accept used items. If you wish to donate items not on this list, please contact us first.

Key dates: 

Back to School items – please deliver by August 19th if possible to ensure time for distribution 

Holiday items – please deliver by December 15th if possible to ensure time for distribution

Drop-off instructions

Donations can be dropped off at “The Rose”: 5944 South St, Halifax, NS, B3H 1S6.

Typical drop-off hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm, excluding holidays. Please contact us if you would like to arrange for alternative drop-off times.

If possible, please send us an email to let us know when you would like to donate items and what/how many items you are donating so we can be prepared to meet you.
